Franklin Lakes Public Schools has registered as a participating district in the program known as Sustainable Jersey for Schools. This state-wide program is sponsored by the NJ School Boards Association, NJ Association of School Administrators, NJ Principals & Supervisors Association, NJ Association of School Business Officials, NJ Education Association, NJ PTA, NJ School Buildings & Grounds Association and The College of NJ, along with other founding sponsors.
The District is working to attain Bronze Level recognition, and will be partnering with the Borough of Franklin Lakes on this endeavor. The District Green Team, consisting of Board of Education members, administrators, teachers, staff and members of the community meet quarterly to ensure that our District is doing all we can to stay environmentally conscious. You will find an article and additional information about Sustainable Jersey for Schools in the upcoming November issue of School News & Views.
