Welcome!

Mrs. Larson is so excited for the 23-24 school year!  She is the counselor for ALL 7th grade students and 8th grade students whose last names begin with L-Z.

She earned her BA in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University - Go SCSU!  She went on to earn an MA in Counseling Psychology and a certification in school counseling.  Mrs. Larson has worked for many years with children and families struggling with mental health/behavioral health challenges.  She was supervising a crisis intervention program before she left that agency to follow her heart and become a middle school counselor.  When not at school, Mrs. Larson enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to shows and concerts, CrossFit, cooking, and baking (cupcakes are her favorite).  She loves all animals and advocates for their rights.  She also reads a ton of books – especially memoirs about funny, successful women.  Laughter is the best medicine!
