The Franklin Lakes Discovery Program reaches every student in Grades 4-5 with engaging and hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) units of study.  Students from all three elementary schools participate in inquiry-based, hands-on lessons from Mrs. D. Hatley to explore engineering, coding, financial literacy, and digital citizenship.
 
The vision of this innovative program is to enable learners to think beyond the boundaries of their classroom.  As an inquiry-based instructional program, The Discovery Program strives to provide learning opportunities that encourage complex thought, inspired exploration and personal discovery.  Through meaningful problem solving, students develop the ability to collaborate, communicate and think independently in the context of personal and social development.
