Create a Google Site for your teacher page
In a web browser go to https://sites.google.com and if needed sign in with your Franklin Lakes email address and password.
Once the page has loaded click "Template gallery"
Select either FLPS - Teacher Name Single page or FLPS - Teacher Name Multipage. The difference is all of your content is on one page that scrolls or on multiple separate pages.
Change the name of your site by double clicking the text fields.
Replace the placeholders on each page or section with your content. For example "Class introduction content. Please replace." should be replaced with an introduction to your class.
Your biography should be written in the 3rd person.
Any images can be dragged from your desktop into the editor.
Additional content (Doc's, YouTube videos, etc) can be added by using the Insert sidebar.
Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select Settings
From the settings sidebar click the expand arrow next to "Add calendar" and select "Create new calendar"
Name the calendar "Homework Calendar" and click "Create calendar"
In the settings for the new Homework calendar set the correct permissions so that the public can view your calendar.
Under Access permissions for events click the checkbox for "Make available to public" and set the dropdown to "See all event details.
Navigate back to your class website editor and from the Insert sidebar select "Calendar" on the page you want your calendar.
Select the calendar you would like to insert into your page from the dialog.
Click on the calendar and then click on the settings gear from the pop up.
Use the following settings for the calendar
To publish your website click the person with a + button icon to share your website
Change the "Published site" setting from "Restricted" to "Public"
Click the "Publish" button in the top right corner to publish the changes to your website. You will need to click the publish button anytime you make a change to your site and would like it to be viewable to the public.
