To be eligible for Kindergarten, your child must turn 5 years of age on or before October 1.
There are three phases to the new student registration/enrollment process.
1.)
ONLINE portion;
2.)
PAPER portion; and
3.)
PROOF-OF-RESIDENCY portion.
1.)
ONLINE: The link for submitting your child’s registration information, which includes family and emergency contacts, is available on the Franklin Lakes Schools’ website. Please access the registration link:
Genesis Online Open Registration and follow the directions.
2.) PAPER: The paper portion of the registration packet consists of the following forms listed below:
You may print out the applicable forms or request the packet from the school office (contact info below).
3.) PROOF-OF-RESIDENCY: Submit completed paper forms and:
- Proof of birthdate (note: child must be 5 on or before October 1st to enter Kindergarten in September). Please provide one of the following:
- Original birth certificate
- Translated Non-US birth certificate
- U.S. Passport
- Non U.S. Passport
- Proof of residence in Franklin Lakes
- Primary - Please provide ONE of the following
- Deed
- Contract (if closing is scheduled but has not yet taken place)
- Lease / rental agreement
- Affidavit Form (if child and parent / guardian is living in Franklin Lakes with family member or employer-see (Nonresident Guardian Affidavit)
- Secondary - Please provide ONE of the following showing your Franklin Lakes address:
- Utility bill
- Phone bill
- Driver's license
- Bank Statement
- Credit Card Statement
