Franklin Lakes is partnering with Dr. Wasserman of The Medi Mobile, who will provide free onsite Covid testing every Tuesday at FAMS from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. All staff and parent volunteers are welcome. The test will be a PCR saliva test. Please do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes prior to the test.

Dear Franklin Lakes Community,

At his August 6, 2021 press conference, Governor Murphy announced that “all students, educators, staff, and visitors will be required to wear masks inside of school buildings--regardless of vaccination status--for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.” He also indicated that this masking requirement would be lifted as soon as conditions allow, and that the exceptions in place made last school year will remain in place. Finally, he reiterated that schools must open for full-time, in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year. Please know that this is a mandate by the Governor’s office, not a local decision. The plan for the 2021-2022 school year continues our current model of full day instruction, based on the current recommendations of the NJ Department of Health, and the NJ Department of Education. We anticipate Covid-19 safety protocols to be updated by the state towards the end of August, and will make any necessary changes accordingly. Thank you for your support in keeping our schools safe.
