Students in Grades K-5 receive physical education classes twice each week.   During these classes students follow a developmentally appropriate sequence of activities while learning various sports, good teamwork skills, and healthy habits for nutrition and exercise.

The Family Health program in elementary school is delivered by the nurse at each school and covers grade appropriate information about physical, social, and emotional health issues.

Middle School Health and Physical Education
The Middle School program focuses on sports, fitness, and healthy life habits.  To further these goals, the Technology Department collaborated with the Physical Education teachers to create an innovative new data base project through which students are able to collect data on their eating and exercise and learn first hand about healthy habits and long-term fitness.  Teachers and students can log into the data base to track the calories they consume and burn from various daily activities.
