Mrs. Mascharka attended Villanova University, majoring in Elementary Education and Mathematics/Computer Science, and minoring in Business. After graduating, she became an Elementary Mathematics Specialist in Connecticut. While teaching, Mrs. Mascharka earned her Master's degree in Gifted & Talented Education at the University of Connecticut.
Mrs. Mascharka was thrilled to join the Franklin Lakes Public Schools in 2003. She taught third grade for three years. In 2006, Mrs. Mascharka started the Curiosity Corner Enrichment program for all K - 3 students in the school district. Mrs. Mascharka currently teaches both Curiosity Corner Enrichment for Grades K - 3 and Academic Challenge & Enrichment for Grades 4 - 5.
Mrs. Mascharka loves working with the children and families in Franklin Lakes. She greatly enjoys bringing exciting, challenging, and innovative learning opportunities to all of her students!
